The Public Works Department provides residential curb-side garbage collection. The roll-out containers are provided by the City, at a monthly fee of $21 per container. Container available are a large – 90 gallon container, as of August 1st, 2011. In May 2000, the City implemented a curb-side recycle program.
Residents will be required to place the rollout container and recycle bin at the curb for collection by 6 a.m. on your collection day. Days vary throughout the City. All garbage which does not fit inside a closed rollout container must be placed in a City approved overflow bag, which can be purchased from City Hall. If no one in your household is physically able to roll the carts or carry recycle bins to the street for collection you may qualify for our Backdoor Garbage Service. Yard debris, brown goods, and appliances are also collected on regular garbage collection day. Please view the route collection schedule.
