Project Title:   GENERATORS/w mounting pads

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Scope of Work: 4-Generators 

The City of Chester SC is seeking proposal for the installation of 4 separate generator for standby power.

4- FULL LOAD CAPACITY BUILDING GENERATORS/w mounting pads

  1. City Hall 100 West End Street
  2. Margret Foote Building 161 West End Street
  3. Police Administration Building 120 Church Street
  4. Combined Generator for Public Works and Garage Facilities 405 Ashford St.
    1. The generator shall be Kohler Model: KG60 or equivalent. 

 

The City of Chester, South Carolina Government is requesting quotes for a 4-Generators, 4-Automatic Transfer Switch, and mounting pads to be installed at (4) locations in Chester, South Carolina 29706 as listed above. Quotes can be emailed to mfair [at] chester.sc.gov or rmcbeth [at] chester.sc.gov. Please input Generator (4-Generator) in the Subject Line of your email. 

 

ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS / SCOPE OF WORK: 

  1. Automatic Transfer Switch shall be Kohler Model or its equivalent. 
  2. Installation is required by the winning contractor and includes the following: offloading, permits, seismic anchor bolts, piping, natural gas line hook-up, extended wiring, and other parts as needed. 
  3. A factory trained technician chosen by the vendor shall perform startup inspection per NFPA 110, 2-hr Load Bank Test, Building Load Test and necessary installation checks and testing per the written specifications once the equipment is furnished and installation is completed by the vendor. 
  4. Use the existing pad If there is a cement pad in place for placing the generator. 
  5. Include a spec sheet with your quote for the generator. 
  6. Must be a licensed SC Electrical Contractor. 
  7. The winning contractor is responsible for all permits.
  8. Please provide the number of days for installation which includes delivery time. 
  9. Please include all taxes, shipping costs and any other fees in your final price. 
  10. *** Winning contractor must submit a certificate of insurance made out to City of Chester upon acceptance. 
  11. *** Local (City of Chester) vendors are preferred but are not a requirement for bidding according to our City of Chester Purchasing. A Certificate of Insurance is requires for bids over $100,000.00.

 

  1. The deadline to submit proposal through SCBO or City of Chester website RFP’s is 45 days.
