Project Title: Chester New Market Pavilion Phase 2
Owner: City of Chester
The City of Chester is soliciting sealed bids from qualified Contractors for improvements to the existing Market Pavilion at 111 Columbia Street, Chester, SC 29706. The improvements to the Pavilion will include installations of new column footings for brick veneer columns, brick veneer columns, staining of framing and columns, replace existing hardware with brushed black finished hardware, a metal 3’ tall guardrail on the far side (south) of the pavilion in between columns, overhead fans that include lights in the pavilion, replacement of timber walkway to garden and grading of area to match pavilion concrete slab elevation, a picnic area with seating and tables, concrete walkway from building to pavilion, asphalt loading bay, removal of existing fence and installation of 10’ tall privacy fence between properties and new 6’ tall gate to garden, electrical receptacles in pavilion, a hose bib, a v-ditch running from the rear of the building to the outfall of the pond, and an addition of a grate for the top of existing pond outlet structure. A wash station is to be installed with a protective bollard, a grease trap will need to be installed and tied to the sewer line. The project will be bid based upon estimated quantities at a unit price and the City of Chester reserves the right to increase or deduct the quantity associated with the project as deemed necessary.
